Spinning Wheel Wraps per Inch Tool for spinners, knitters and other fiber artists.

This handy little tool lets you figure out what weight of yarn you have spun or are spinning, but is also great for when you lose a ball band for your yarn. When you lose your ball bands, you can about lose your brains trying to figure out if the yarn in your hand is DK or Sport weight. Don't lose your brains, you need those for crafty things, get a wraps per inch tool instead.

All you need to do is loosely wrap your yarn around from one end of the notched 1" rules to the other end without overlapping. It will be tempting to pull the yarn tight, but only pull tight enough so it doesn't slide. When you are done wrapping, count how many times you wrapped the yarn around the tool and compare it to the legend to find the type of yarn you have spun or purchased.
