This laser engraved and cut wooden needle gauge is a handy tool to have in your knitting tools, and makes a great gift for your favorite knitting child of the '80s! Remember sitting tirelessly by your boombox waiting for the perfect song to come on to add to your new mixed tape, and then listening to it until the tape player decided to eat it? Now you can bring back that old feeling, without the fears and tears of the tape being eaten. Purling can be a pain, make it more fun with a new "Purl Jams" playlist!
Gauge measures needles from sizes US 0-13(2mm-9mm) and sizes are engraved in both US and metric sizes. US sizes are engraved above metric sizes. There are two size US 1 and 2 knitting needles, sometimes referred to as size 1 1/2 and 2 1/2, the metric 2.5mm and 3mm; I have included all four of these on this gauge; perfect for sock knitters!
Would you like to personalize your knitting mix? This item has room for personalization on the tape's "label". Some examples may be: Leah's mix, Leah's Knit Hits, etc. The recommended maximum amount of characters is 30, but I sometimes I can fit more. I am always happy to experiment.
Compact in size, it measures only 2 1/16" by 3 1/8" by 1/8" and will easily fit into most notion pouches and tins or knitting bags. Laser engraved and cut from solid beech wood hardwood in my Central Wisconsin studio. Wood is a natural product and no two pieces will be the same. The gauge you receive may vary slightly in color or grain.
Listing includes gauge only, all other items are for prop purposes. Also, does not play music.
Solid beech wood hardwood was used for this product because of it's strength, durability and even grain; these qualities makes this a perfect hardwood for engraving, cutting and then everyday use.
I appreciate you! When you purchase wood products from my shop, you are actually helping support two family owned small businesses. I purchase all of my solid hardwood from a local Wisconsin, small family owned lumber mill; not big box stores.

A FEW NOTES ON MY YARN
-All yarn is hand-painted or hand-dyed in small batches or sometimes even
one of a kind colorways. Please order enough yarn for your project at one
time to ensure it comes from the same dye lot. If you need more yarn than
what is listed, please contact me to see if a custom order on that colorway
is possible. As always with hand-dyed yarn, it is recommended when multiple
skeins, that you alternate skeins every other row or so.
-Speckles, Spots, Random Colors and Pooling- Hand-painted and dyed yarn
is created to be unique and random, sometimes uneven dye distribution will
occur. Variegated colors may pool depending on the length of rows or
repeats and random spots of dye may appear here and there. This is the
beauty of hand-painted and hand-dyed yarn, buyer beware. I try not to
create long color repeats in order to avoid pooling, but sometimes it will
-Each skein of yarn is reskeined after the dyeing/drying process, this ensures
that any knots there may be are found and I deal with them in the winding
process, not you. This process also allows for you to see what the yarn
actually looks like in its ready-to-use state, not with the colors all blocked
-Yarn winding service- Yarn will be wound into balls/cakes free of charge at
customer request. Please select this option from the drop down menu
when purchasing yarn.
-Garment Care- Although many of my yarns are considered superwash, not
all acid dyes live up to this and even superwash yarn can deteriorate over
time. I recommend washing all hand-painted and hand-dyed yarn
separately, by hand, with a mild wool wash and cool water; this will keep the
item looking like new and prevent any accidents, just in case the dye would
happen to bleed. Dye bleed is rare and occurs mainly in darker colors, but
may occur in any color, especially if washed in warm water.
-Yarn is hand-painted and stored in a smoke-free, pet friendly environment.
I have a husband, teenage daughter and two dogs, but never fear, when the
yarn is out and it is dye time, they all run far, far away. All yarn is stored in
plastic containers with locking lids.
-Wholesale- Wholesale orders are available. If you are a retailer and would
like to stock Creating with Sticks yarn, stitch markers or other items in your
yarn shop, please send me a message for details.
I would love to hear your feedback! If you are happy with your item, have created something awesome with it or would recommend it to others- let me know. Leaving positive feedback in my shop reviews helps my shop grow and lets others know that they can trust me. (It also gives me warm fuzzies :) )
On the other hand, sometimes things happen and you may not be happy with your purchase. If that happens, please send me a message a.s.a.p. so I know and can make it right! I take great pride in my work, the products that I sell and my customer service, so if you aren't happy, I'm not happy.
Creating with Sticks will not sell your information or use it in any inappropriate way. The personal information your provide is used to fulfill your order or in regards to your order only. If you are interested in carrying any of these items in your shop, please send me a message for more information. More items will gradually be added to the wholesale list, please check back often to see what is new.
Most packages come ready for gifting or as a nice gift for yourself. If you need a special note or message included with your order, let me know; I would be happy to help make someone's day!
